Dr. Etsuko Ogasawara, Executive Director of Japanese Center for Research on Women in Sport (Professor of Sport Management, the Graduate School of Health and Sport Science at Juntendo University) was invited as one of the “Affiliated Scholars” from “Tucker Center”, a research institute for women in sport at the University of Minnesota.
The Tucker Center is the world’s first research institute to study “the effects of sports and physical activities on women and women’s lives, families, and communities”, and it is a historical research center that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
“Affiliated Scholars” is a group of individuals who are researching women and sport around the world, supporting the Tucker Center’s vision and mission, and aiming to mutually promote each research through their collaboration.
Executive Director Dr. Ogasawara was invited this time because of her achievements in the research and education of women’s sport, which she has done for many years. Further research and development are expected with this partnership.
