“Girls in Sport” for Girls in School-Based Sport Club Activities website released

To solve the health issues of girls in school-based sport club activities

FY 2023, The Japanese Center for Research on Women in Sport, was commissioned by the Japan Sports Agency to conduct a project to develop and support female athletes, entitled “Problem-Solving Practical Program for Girls in School-Based Sport Club Activities”, has set up and opened a special page on its website for Girls in School-Based Sport Club Activities.

Sufficient energy is needed for growing girls in school-based sport club activities to achieve sufficient growth and maturity and to acquire the body (bones and muscles) that will serve as the foundation for a lifetime of good health.
However, the current situation is that many girls in school-based sport club activities have health issues, including energy deficiency.

This project provides up-to-date information on the causes and remedies for physical problems that girls in school-based sport club activities are prone to, as well as various tools, on a website that can be accessed by anyone at any time, targeting girls in school-based sport club activities, their school nurses and instructors, school doctors, family doctors, nutrition teachers, etc.
